Those I's
This Halloween I dropped a new single, the project has been a while in the making. I recorded it in 2017 at @parkhillstudio with @darrylswart.
The song is called Those I’s and is about anxiety and the fake power that people can have over you.
Huge thank you to @kjel_erickson for filling in with vocals. Kjel and I once played in a band when we were teenagers. The band was called Valhalla and we covered Metallica songs. It was pretty cool being able to collaborate again with him.
While recording this song we recorded a b-side that is inspired by old school Opera. Calgary Flames organist Willy Joosen rewrote the song to fit that style and played piano.
Another big thanks to @darrylswart for hitting the drums so hard and getting my vision into a .wav file. You really brought this track to life.
I have tried to release this song a number of times even once with a music video but I kept burning myself out and fighting with anxiety. So I’m just going to drop it with some cool animated artwork.
