Printing Motion
Over the summer, I played with some animation ideas and created these animated hockey cards. To add to the fun, I added a twist to each player's jersey. St. Louis and Kariya's are a mash up of of new and old where Hamilton's is a combination of the Bruins' and Flames' jerseys.

The inspiration came from the 1996/97 McDonald's Pinnacle hockey cards I collected as a kid. I remember pulling this exact Paul Kariya card and telling myself "I am now a hockey fan and this is my favourite team and player". Since then, I have always been a die hard Paul Kariya and Teemu Selanne fan.
I decided to create my very own 3D hockey cards through the magic of lenticular printing! To make this idea come to reality, I used Gifpop, a website that specializes in just that type of printing! Below you can see the final prints;
Cool fact, when Gifpop was a Kickstarter I was a pledger! 1,063 backers pledged $35,894 to help bring Gifpop to life!
