Avalanche Reverse Retro Concept

The NHL recently revealed their Reverse Retro program and I wanted to join in on the fun and create one of my own. I picked Colorado because I think they have a hidden gem of a jersey buried in their history.

In 1995, The Quebec Nordiques had plans to rebrand their logo, team colours and jerseys.  The logo design was based on a husky and the jerseys featured the colours teal, navy and black.  The team never got to wear them as they relocated to Colorado the following year.

I tried my best to keep the concept as close as possible to the original design. The logo was rebuilt in Illustrator and simplified by removing the Nordiques word-mark.
