I had the opportunity to capture some video and photos at the Calgary Stampeders' home opener on Canada Day. Shooting from the sidelines of a football stadium was a new experience for me. In order to capture the action, I used a Canon Extender EF 2X II that transformed my Canon 70-200 2.8 ii lens into a 400mm. The extra zoom power really helped capture the action. I found the photos ended up not being as sharp as they would have been without the extension tube, but overall, I feel happy with the results. The Calgary Stampeders published a few of the photos to their social media accounts.
Programs: Lightroom Classic
Gear: Canon 5D III + Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II
I spent some of the day working on capturing hyperlapses. Out of three attempts, two of them failed and one turned out. You can see a GIF of the successful hyperlapse below.
