A Milky Night
Last Wednesday I gave night photography a try. I used a Canon EOS 5D Mark III and a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L. All the photos where shot at 24mm/f4 and around 3200iso.
The location where we shot was somewhere around Highway 21 and Nightingale. The original plan was to move around to different locations but we just ran out of time. It would have been nice to find some kind of old barn or tractor for the foreground.
Programs: Lightroom Classic
Gear: Canon 5D III + Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 + Canon EF 24-105mm f/4
Overall it was a lot of fun but a bit frustrating trying to navigate the camera and tripod at night. In the future I would like to try this using the new Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DM HSM Art. The 1.4 aperture would allow me to shoot at 400 iso instead of 3200 iso creating far less grain.
