Old Time Hockey

Old Time Hockey

April 1st 2016 could have marked the last hockey game to ever be played at the Stampede Corral.  The Calgary Hitmen took on the Red Deer Rebels in game 4 of the first round WHL series.  With all of the historical nostalgia surrounding the game, I figured it would be a good opportunity to capture the game from more of a cinematic view point.

Please note audio has been removed.

Programs:  Lightroom Classic + Premiere Pro

Gear: Canon 5D III + Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II

All of the footage used in this video was captured by the Canon 5d at 60fps.  Unfortunately, the game was uneventful for the Hitmen as they were shutout by their provincial rivals. Luckily the fans helped create a wonderful atmosphere.

A big thanks to Andy Leblond for the awesome photo!
